Bob Trotta launched Trotta Health Services, Inc. in 2014 when he saw an opportunity to address the revenue cycle management needs of providers using service philosophies gained from 25 years of health and disability claims management experience.

My introduction to healthcare occurredin 1990 when I joined CORE – a new healthcare company formed out of several pieces being shed by a very large company. How I wish I knew then what I know now! The company had incredible nurse case managers dealing with high acuity, high cost diseases for an insurance company client, an amazing healthcare analytics group, and an innovative approach to disability management. Ironically we then merged with a behavioral health company!

24 years later this would come full circle as Trotta Health purchased Medical Claims Billing – a healthcare consulting and revenue cycle management services firm in 2015.

Most of my career* in this interim period revolved around helping large employers manage their absence, short-term and long-term disability benefit plans. With a brief period advocating for Social Security Disability recipients who typically become Medicare eligible by the time their benefits are approved.

My next move was to control my own healthcare company…

Competition has always been a part of my life whether in sports (football, baseball, wrestling, rugby, softball, distance running) or business. I have been fortunate to work with and for talented individuals. I have also met great coaches and mentors along the way as well as the constant support of my family.

Trotta Health was inspired by my past and the present – to change the experience for patients by combining innovation and great service. We are building a legacy based on lessons learned in competition and in life from others who pushed me to excel.
